Pam's Prints:
Gelli-Block Prints & Clay Monoprints
Gelli-Block Prints
My signature process, Gelli-Block Printing, grew out of a desire for more color and spontaneity in block printing. By layering linoleum blocks directly onto Gelli prints, I discovered a playful, vibrant approach that continues to inspire my workshops and current body of work. It’s also a very approachable printmaking technique for students to learn, giving them real satisfaction as they create bold, colorful prints from the very start.
Clay Monoprints
I studied Clay Printing with artist Mitch Lyons at the Haystack School of Crafts in Maine and other places, and have worked in the process for 30+ years. Developed by Lyons, this process yields rich color, layered surfaces, and painterly textures. This innovative technique remains an important part of my practice and continues to influence how I approach printmaking today.
