Clay printing is a unique and creative process invented by artist, Mitch Lyons. In a variety of ways, colors, textures, and patterns are applied to a slab of leather-hard clay. Special paper is then placed on top and hand pressed to create a monoprint—meaning each print is one-of-a-kind. The result is a dynamic, beautiful piece of art with rich, organic textures. This technique is perfect for artists of all levels, providing a fun and expressive way to unleash creativity! Pam studied with Mitch Lyons at Haystack School of Crafts in Maine, at The College of Santa Fe, and at the Tucson Artist's Guild. She has taught the process numerous times, including at Naropa University in Boulder, and loves sharing this wonderful technique with others. Learn more about Clay Printing.
